The Barbican Renewal Project

In January 2025, world-famous multi-arts centre, the Barbican confirmed an ambitious renewal project, aiming to revitalise some of its most iconic spaces led partly by Allies and Morrison. This session explores the history of this brutalist architectural masterpiece, how the use of the internal space has evolved, what prompted the plans and how the balance between restoration and regeneration will be maintained.
