CAS spring conference with insights on Cambridge’s historic buildings, from Castle to Senate House, exploring materials and landmarks.

CAS Spring 2026 conference brings together fourteen architectural historians, archaeologists, a conservation architect and a data specialist speakers (including Alexandrina Buchanan, Craig Cessford, Elizabeth Deans, John Goodall, and Oliver Caroe), to offer fresh looks at historic buildings and sites in the city; topics range from materials, to different historical perspectives on well known buildings from Cambridge Castle to Senate House and the Cripps Buildings in St John’s College, and the perspectives of different archaeologists and building historians including Cyril Fox, Willis & Clark and Nikolaus Pevsner. The event is organised by Jeremy Musson FSA and is chaired by Prof Simon Stoddart, president of CAS.
