Adam Smith – Eastern Bloc Aesthetic.
Based near Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK Adam Smith is the author and creator of EASTERN BLOC AESTHETIC. Adam has a special interest in architecture and transport photography, focusing on Central/Eastern Europe and Russia.
He studied Sociology at college which piqued his interest in Socialist and Communist societies.
Exploring not only how they function and the impact on the people but more specifically these societies architecture, monuments and artwork.
“I lean more towards Socialist Modern and Brutalist styles where I take comfort in the stark simplicity of these designs” says Smith who continues to record incredible Eastern European art, sculpture and places.
