In this short film, a collaboration with architectural film maker Jim Stephenson, LionHeart discusses his route into architecture and poetry and the power of architecture to heal. LionHearts’ words are intertwined with a performance of his poem “The Absence of Light”

LionHeart is a poet and a spoken word performer. Over time, and working closely with architects and those who inhabit their buildings, his research and his work has explored Architecture & Poetry’s relationship around emotional inhabitance, and its connection to memory and mental health. In this short film, a collaboration with architectural film maker Jim Stephenson, LionHeart discusses his route into architecture and poetry and the power of architecture to heal. LionHearts’ words are intertwined with a performance of his poem “The Absence of Light”, written for Lisa Martinez. This short film will be followed by a longer piece featuring an interview with LionHeart about his work in Poetry and Architecture.
