The Hall for All Appeal

Originally created during the brutalist period of architecture as an arts space for students and the local community in and around Acland Burghley School, funds are now being raised to bring the Grade II listed Hall back into wider use. It has been home to the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) since September 2020 in a ground-breaking residency, a partnership which brings outstanding creative arts to student and community life.

However, a lack of funding and damaging adaptations mean the Hall is no longer fit for purpose and in urgent need of repair. As a community, our challenge now is to come together to raise the money needed to help unlock vital heritage funding.

Your support will help return this much-needed space to its former glory and bring it bang up to date with acoustics, lighting and facilities fit for world-class performances. And provide a home to the UK’s first-ever Museum of Brutalist Architecture (MoBA). An inclusive and affordable venue for everyone.
