This public discussion accompanies the exhibition Alternative Domesticities, which presents contemporary photographs and drawings of three experimental housing projects across the central belt of Scotland, all constructed during the 1960s: Cuthill Housing in Prestonpans, Park 3 West in Cumbernauld, and Southfield Housing in Barnton.
After an introduction, each speaker will talk briefly about their perspective on these projects, and their significance within their research and practice. These perspectives shall complement and contextualise the exhibited images and drawings, widening the consideration of the work. After these presentations, the conversation will be opened to the public, with an open and wide-ranging discussion of the work encouraged.
