Join author and local historian Stephen Oldfield for a fascinating visual journey into the hidden past of Rossendale.
In Rossendale Ruins, Stephen explores the valley’s forgotten landscapes – from remote farmsteads and abandoned tracks to ancient remains and long-lost wells. Through striking photography and engaging storytelling, he uncovers the stories behind these evocative places and reveals how they shaped the character of the Rossendale we know today.
Stephen is the author of The Forgotten Forest and The Mystical Moors, and has previously delivered popular talks including Round the Hills and The Pendle Witches. With a special interest in landscape history, local legend and folklore, he brings the past vividly to life.
